The Sogkonate Garden Club is holding its annual Blossoms and Sweets Sale on Saturday, May 24, 7:30 to 11:30 AM, under the tree next to Wilbur’s General Store.

Perennials, annuals, veggies, herbs, gently used outdoor items, and delicious homemade treats will be for sale. In addition to an outstanding variety of plants, club members will fill the bake sale table with their specialties, and entice buyers with surprises at the “green elephant” yard sale featuring gently used outdoor and garden gear. Rounding out the sale will be beautifully crafted bird houses and a selection of trees and shrubs. 

This year the club is offering professionally grown perennial "plugs" that have been selected specifically for our local area. These perennials are young plants with well-established root systems and top growth, making them ready for successful transplanting into gardens. Gardeners will find perennials for pollinator gardens, shady and sunny areas, ground cover, and native plant options. Perennial plants offerings will include popular favorites, such as cardinal flowers, coneflowers, Joe Pye weed, trumpet vine, and many others. The sale will also include annual herbs, and a variety of annual flowers and vegetables carefully grown from seeds by club members.
